Two ladies, representatives of the contemporary Slovak composition school, Jana Kmiťová and Lenka Novosedlíková, will present the importance of the female element among composers.

Jana Kmiťová (born 1976): Slovak composer, poet, painter, living and working in Vienna, graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava and the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna. She has successfully participated in important composition courses all over the world (France, Switzerland, Austria, Japan, etc.).

Lenka Novosedlíková (born 1989): Slovak composer and writer; studied composition and percussion at the Bratislava Conservatory. She also pursued composition at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava under Vladimír Godár and Marián Lejava, and percussion at the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno. She is a member of several prominent musical ensembles.
